Tradtional worship in a beautiful setting is what Canwell Church is all about. Described in an esteemed Book on English Churches, edited by the late Sir John Betjeman, as 'an architectural gem' Canwell Church is also a living breathing community with plenty going on - and you would be most welcome to attend one of of our many events. First and foremost we have Church Services every Sunday at 11.00 am, including both Book Of Common Prayer and Common Worship depending on the week of the month. The service on the first Sunday of the month is an easy going, informal Family Service when children and young people accompany their mums and dads, and grandparents too for a fun sized service of worship. Plus during the week we gather every Wednesday Morning at 9.00 am for a quiet reflective service of Morning Prayers, lead either by Reverend Jonathon Iddon or Reverend Rob Davies. Also on weekdays you might want to participate in one of our informal study groups lead by Reverend Rob to discuss the significance of the Bible in the modern age. Or you could enjoy one of our many social events which include quizzes, film nights, clothes shows, talks, walks, keep fit, knit and knatter, an annual barn dance and a cheese and wine evening. Also we serve afternoon teas and cakes in our Church Room on the first Saturday of every month during the summer between 2.00 and 4.00 pm when you can catch up with friends while enjoying our renowned Canwell catering. Plus as one of the Peel Parishes group of Churches lead by Reverend Jonathon Iddon we're part of a wider family too, where different needs and styles of worship can be catered for. So we hope to see you soon, whether it's on your own, or with family and friends, when we guarantee that you will receive a typically warm Canwell welcome. If you would like to know more, then click on the link to our web site. Also, it's a perfect place to get married, especially since we recently installed our uplifting peal of bells!. We have a Parents and Toddlers Group called Tots and Toys, held every Wednesday Morning betwen 10.00 and 11.45 during term time. It's been hugely successful so far. You can find out more about what's going on via our Canwell Church Facebook Page. See you there!

We are an inclusive Anglican church where you are always welcome.  May God's blessing be upon you.

We aim to make God's love real by:

Loving God Loving Our Community & World Loving One Another

Our services utilise the treasure of the Anglican Catholic tradition and explore with a contemporary outlook.

"We believe in inclusive Church - church which does not discriminate, on any level, on grounds of economic power, gender, mental health, physical ability, race or sexuality. We believe in Church which welcomes and serves all people in the name of Jesus Christ; which is scripturally faithful; which seeks to proclaim the Gospel afresh for each generation; and which, in the power of the Holy Spirit, allows all people to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Jesus Christ."
